E65 Part II
Monday 30th APR 07 8:25pm
I fell in love with it the moment i laid my eyes on it.
The Nokia E65 "internet" phone.
Unfortunately i had to get my Nokia 6131 stolen before that. All these while, i've only liked clam shell phone. It's something about the flipping of the phone to recieve a call that makes it all so cool to me.
Anyhow, i must say i'm not at all dissapointed with my latest toy.
First off, it's a symbian phone, meaning that there will inevitably be the slow and laggy feel of this phone. All that is well and good considering it's practically like a mini-mini laptop that needs to be rebooted and such. Let's go on with the perks of this phone.
1) Battery life: It's passable. I surfed the net and SMSed and called the whole day with any chance i got. At the end of the day, the battery bar only reduced 3 bars out of the 6.
2) Internet Connectivity: Yes. I could actually surf the net with this little thing. Pages loaded without problems for me when i visited my blog site, an online game site (Neopets.com) Although there are limitations when viewing flash content. Friendster was seemless and i could even see the photos clearly. Even banking sites like DBS.com with it's internet java iBanking facilities are not a problem. The following are some sites which i have visited and the result of the surf.
i. My blog site (Loading speed was fast. I could see my entire entry and even tag on my tagboard. However, i could not listen in to my embedded background music.)
ii. Startrek forums. (Everything was speedy and good. I could log in, view all posts and even make my own posts)
iii: Aikido Shinjukai website (Seemless and again, can't view flash)
Wikipidia, friendster, neopets even police website. All went smoothly for me. Alas, with all it's functions, there are no radio function. Also, even though it is a 3G phone, there is only ONE camera. Meaning, your friend won't be able to talk to you FACE-TO-FACE per sa.
And one other thing that totally floored me was this phone can actually say out the name of your caller. Ie, if your phonebook entry name is "PETER PAN", when he calls you, the phone will ring and some male voice will say the word "PETER PAN" to you! HOW FREAKING COOL IS THAT?!
Imagine if you put in vulguar words.... gosh.... i did not try that of course....
And by the way, this Entire post was made using my E65.
So what are you waiting for?
