Looks like it's virtually impossible to save any form of wealth in our country after all.

Our leaders seem to think of everything. With the raise of cab fares and possibly buses and MRT as well, most people will likely switch to their own personal cars.

So what do we do about it? Raise the ERP charges. That's what.

And ERP charges will go up from Monday 7th Aug 06 onwards. No one week in advance notice, no time given for people to adjust their travel arrangements.

No Warning.

Please do not misread my comment.

I am proud to be Singaporean. The country is relatively safe (nevermind the chopped up body parts or the murders commited in a span of few weeks we had earlier, and not forgetting some deranged one-eyed jack who pumped 6 bullets from his pistol on his victim. But who's counting?) Our country is clean (Just don't go to our beaches or the kallang river).

What's there NOT to like about Singapore?

*coughs*

Anyway, i better stop here before i get ambushed by some Men in Black and incacerated to some dungeon shackled totally naked on a wall and my exsistence totally wiped from the face of the earth. "You, James Lee, are charged with a very serious crime of SEDITION. You are hereby sentenced to spend the rest of your life shackled, without the bare comforts of clothing or any other form of neccessities in your confinement area."

The Horror.

At the end of the day, our Leaders will always be right. With the cost of living constantly raising, How much more can the ordinary citizen take before he/she finds out the hard way that it's just so hard to survive?

But it's OUR fault.

How come?

Easy.

You people are very choosy about your jobs. You all want high pay and good jobs. We as a government cannot provide you all with high pay. We will go broke if we do that. You guys pick and choose. All want to be managers and drive big cars and live in big houses.

See. It's OUR fault.

But then, if we have a job that pays us SGD$1.5K a month, how long will it be before we can get married and have our own family? Our country's birth rate is low right? The aged population is growing right? That's NOT forgetting how a person can pay the bills, pay for transport and still feed himself day to day.

Might as well tell us all to turn gay or be mindless borg drones.

But you see, our leaders have a solution for us all.

Upgrade your skills. Take up courses, make yourself employable.

Essentially, SPEND money BEFORE you get your cert to earn BACK money.

So, how can we spend what we don't already have in the first place?

That's ALSO covered by the government.

Take loans.

Loan from the government or the banks.

You just need to sign a BOND for the next 6 - 10 years of your life to us.

See, the governement takes such good care of us. How can we NOT be grateful?

Ok. I'll stop here.

I can already feel the red lights going off in some obscure top secret establishment.
